Mudasir Ahmad
Mudasir Ahmad is an Associate Professor at the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Northwestern Polytechnical University Xi'an, PR China. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Jamia Millia Islamia, India (2018), his M. Phil in Chemistry from Bundelkhand University, India (2012), and his M.Sc. in Chemistry from Barkatullah Vishwavidyalaya, India (2011). His current research focuses on synthesizing novel carbon-based materials for the adsorption and separation of precious metal ions and carbon metal-based composites for electromagnetic wave absorption.
Dr Ahmad’s research work spans several projects for the National Natural Science Foundation of China (on which he acts as PI), and other institutions.BZ
Baoliang Zhang
Baoliang Zhang is an elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and works as a Professor at the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Northwestern Polytechnical University in Xian, PR China. He completed his Ph.D. in Chemistry and the Physics of Polymers at Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2013, where he also earned his M.S. and B.S degrees.
He has received numerous awards during his career including the Technological Invention Award in Science and Technology in the Shaanxi Province for his work on the Preparation and Application of Novel Functional Adsorbed Polymeric Materials. His research interests focus on the following three aspects: (1) Research on methods of porous material synthesis; (2) Morphology regulation and pore controlling mechanism of porous microspheres; (3) Application of porous materials in microwave absorption, protein purification, energy, water treatment, and other fields.
