Ivis García

Dr. Ivis García is Associate Professor and Masters of Urban Planning Coordinator at Texas A&M University and the President of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning (ACSP). She served as a board member of the Asset-Based Community Development Institute (ABCD) and holds AICP certification. Her research focuses on community engagement with diverse communities. Dr. García co-authored Puerto Ricans in Illinois (2024) and has published widely on community engagement and participatory planning, bringing over 15 years of experience in community-engaged scholarship and practice.
