Differentiating Factors in Alzheimer’s Disease: Gender, Ethnicity, Clinical and Treatment addresses the question why women differ from men in terms of their risk factors and how Alzheimer's disease can be prevented at the molecular level. This book reviews the epidemiology of Alzheimer's disease describing the differences in men's and women's brain anatomy and biochemistry that may account for why women are more likely to develop Alzheimer's disease. The authors offer actions that could help to prevent or slow the progression of Alzheimer's disease in addition to discussing the most recent pharmacological treatments.

Dr. Zeidan, Ph.D, MPH, FAACC, HCLD, CC offers more than 30 years of progressive global experience in academia as a faculty member and administrator and a decade of experience as a high complexity Clinical Laboratory Director. He is a recipient of the National Institute of Health fellowships and grant, worth $375K, the National Science Foundation grant, worth $125K, and the RCMI faculty biomedical grant worth $5M. He is also the recipient of outstanding faculty award given by Smith Kline and French Laboratories. He's received consistent outstanding students and supervisor evaluations is an effective traditional and online/distance graduate and professional educator who has mentored numerous graduate and professional students, three doctorate and six masters students been awarded their degree under his guidance and mentorship.
