Descripción

Digital Fashion and Sustainability explores the sustainability of digitalization in the fashion industry and supply chain. Digital fashion encompasses more than just computer-aided design (CAD) and manufacturing (CAM), it integrates product lifecycle management, sustainable business models, and virtual and augmented reality to enhance consumer experiences. This multidisciplinary work will appeal to academics, researchers, professionals from fashion design, technology, computer science, supply chain management and sustainability, examining how digitalization can transform the fashion industry for a sustainable future.

As today’s fashion supply chain spans multiple continents and diverse elements, seamless digitalization is essential for achieving transparency and sustainability. While the Covid-19 pandemic accelerated digitalization in many industries, the fashion supply chain has lagged behind. Increased scrutiny on product transparency and sustainability highlights the need for digital innovation.
