Zheng Chu
Dr. Zheng Chu is an Associate Professor at Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China. Prior to this, he held research positions with the Faculty of Science and Technology, Middlesex University, London, UK, from 2016 to 2017, and with the Institute for Communication Systems (Home of 5G & 6G Innovation Centre), University of Surrey, Guildford, UK, from 2017 - 2024, respectively. He earned M.Sc. (with distinction) and Ph.D. degrees in the School of Engineering (former the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering), Newcastle University, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, in 2012 and 2016, respectively. His current research interests include 6G, IoT networks, Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven future networks, space-air-ground integrated networks (SAGIN), smart mobility and transportations. Currently, Dr. Chu has published more than 150 top-tier peer-review journal and flagship conference papers with over 8600 citations (h-index of 52 in Google Scholar profile), where 7 journal papers have been classified as ESI Highly Cited Paper. He received the Exemplary Reviewer for IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON COMMUNICATIONS in 2022, and the Best Paper Awards of UCOM (2024 & 2025), IEEE ICCT (2024), and EAI CHINACOM (2024). Dr. Chu has been included in the list of world top 2% research scientists at 2020 - 2025. He is a Member of IEEE, and Fellow of The Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
