Abdul Hameed

Dr. Abdul Hameed Dr. Abdul Hameed completed his PhD in Organic Chemistry from The University of Nottingham, UK. He worked in the area of natural products synthesis. He was a post-doc fellow in Max-Planck Institut für Polymerforschung, Germany in synthetic division headed by Prof. Dr. Klaus Müllen. There he worked on the functionalization of adenylyl cyclsase inhibitors via chemical methods to conjugate them with monoclonal antibody to study their biological potential in Regulatory T cells (Treg). His current research interests are including the development of novel methodologies, their utilization in natural products synthesis, the synthesis heterocyclic compound compounds to evaluate their biological potential.

Mariya Al-Rashida

Dr. Mariya al-Rashida is a synthetic chemist and has expertise in the area of organic synthesis. She completed Ph.D. in chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan in 2011. Her area of expertise is synthetic and computational medicinal chemistry. She is currently working towards the synthesis of metalloenzyme inhibitors (carbonic anhydrase, and ecto-nucleotidases). She is an Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Chemistry, Forman Christian College (A Chartered University), Lahore, Pakistan. She has published more than 60 research articles with a cumulative Impact Factor > 150 in various peer review international journals. She has been the recipient of many awards including the prestigious CSP Gold Medal Award for Chemist Under 40.

Maliha Uroos

Dr. Maliha Uroos completed her PhD in synthetic organic chemistry in 2012 from the University of Nottingham under HEC Faculty Development Scholarship. She was awarded EPSRC post-doctoral fellowship (2012-13) at the University of Nottingham, UK. She was appointed Lecturer at University of the Punjab in 2007 and currently working as Associate Professor (2020 to date) and Director, Centre for Research Ionic Liquid, School of Chemistry, University of the Punjab. Her main focus is synthetic organic chemistry and research interests include synthesis and applications of ionic liquids, synthesis of biologically active molecules, sustainable energy production and development of green processes for setting up bio-refinery from agricultural waste.

Muhammad Raza Shah

Prof. Muhammad Raza Shah is Professor at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, Pakistan. His research focuses on nanotechnology, materials science, supramolecular chemistry, nanomedicine, and advanced drug delivery systems, with particular emphasis on nanocarriers for targeted therapeutic applications. He has made significant contributions to the development of novel biomedical and pharmaceutical technologies and holds multiple national and international patents. Prof. Shah has authored and edited several scholarly books and contributed extensively to the scientific literature. He has supervised a large number of postgraduate researchers and maintains active international research collaborations. He is a Fellow of the Pakistan Academy of Sciences and the Islamic World Academy of Sciences and has received national recognition for his contributions to chemical sciences.
